Women play a key role in the Canadian economy as workers and entrepreneurs, and as providers of unpaid household work. Women are important contributors to the labour market. In this article, recent Statistics Canada research that focuses on improving our estimates of women’s contribution to the economy – through both paid and unpaid work – is summarized.
