Canadian manufacturers produced 962 million cigarettes in January 2023, up 25.6% from December 2022. Cigarette production was 14.3% lower compared with January 2022.
The total number of cigarettes sold decreased 26.8% to 938 million from December 2022. The level of sales was 13.8% lower compared with January 2022.
