Canadian manufacturers produced 1.1 billion cigarettes in February 2023, up 18.5% from January 2023. Cigarette production was 5.0% lower compared with February 2022.
The total number of cigarettes sold increased 5.4% to 989 million from January 2023. The level of sales was 13.0% lower compared with February 2022.
