Today, the Canadian population will reach the 40 million mark! It’s set to happen just before 3:00 p.m. (Eastern Time), according to our population clock, which models changes to the Canadian population in real time.
Statistics Canada will be releasing several products in the coming days to mark this historic moment, including a new web page, a video and various social media publications.
This is a new milestone for our country, reflecting our vitality and our ability to welcome new citizens from around the world. While Canada Day is approaching, this makes it even more special to celebrate!
