Highlights
Major Canadian airlines carried 6.4 million passengers on scheduled and charter services in April, up 36.4% from the same month in 2022, but 9.7% below the April 2019 level, before the COVID-19 pandemic.
With traffic at 16.6 billion passenger-kilometres and capacity at 19.4 billion available seat-kilometres, the passenger load factor was 85.6% in April, above the pre-pandemic April 2019 level (84.8%).
Operating revenue earned in April exceeded the pre-pandemic level for the fifth consecutive month.
