Aircraft movement statistics: Major airports, June 2022

Highlights

In June, Canada's major airports recorded a total of 487,644 aircraft movements. This was an increase of 29.2% from June 2021 and was 87.6% of the level from June 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Domestic and international traffic continued to recover in June 2022. Domestic movements by Level I-III and foreign carriers reached 83.6% of the pre-pandemic levels from June 2019, while movements to the United States increased to 75.7% and other international traffic to 82.5%.

Toronto/Lester B. Pearson International Airport remained Canada's busiest airport, with Boundary Bay Airport moving back into the top three.
