Production and disposition of tobacco products, July 2022

Canadian manufacturers produced 1.5 billion cigarettes in July 2022, up 1.1% from June 2022. Cigarette production was 30.7% higher compared with July 2021.

The total number of cigarettes sold decreased 10.0% to 1.3 billion from June 2022. The level of sales was 2.2% lower compared with July 2021.
