Canadian manufacturers produced 1.0 billion cigarettes in December, down 30.3% from November 2021. Cigarette production was 13.9% lower compared with December 2020.
The total number of cigarettes sold decreased 7.8% to 1.3 billion from November 2021. The level of sales was 28.1% lower compared with December 2020.
