Natural Gas Financial Survey, 2020 (final)

In 2020, operating revenue and expenses for companies involved in Canada's natural gas distribution and transport pipeline industry declined, largely because of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Domestic and global demand for natural gas was adversely affected as the pandemic dominated the world's economy. Government-enforced lockdowns and stay-at-home orders contributed to decreases in production and consumption, as well as a significant drop in natural gas prices.
