Transport Canada's Multimodal Safety and Security Programs Oversight Delivery Indicators are now available for the second quarter of the 2021/2022 fiscal year (i.e., July to September 2021).
Note to readers
In 2021/2022, there was an increase in oversight activities, compared to the year before. This was mainly a consequence of the reduction in restrictions imposed in 2020/2021 to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. However, there are still fewer oversight activities than in years prior to the pandemic.
In 2020/2021, Transport Canada reviewed and updated the methodology of all enforcement actions and risk reduction measures across all modes and programs to improve consistency in approach. In some cases, this resulted in a significant change in data when compared with the same data from previous years or quarters.
