Today, Statistics Canada is releasing the first results from the Full-time University and College Academic Staff System (FT-UCASS) survey for the 2021/2022 academic year. This partial release includes data from 80 of the 112 public degree-granting institutions that had finalized data by the beginning of April 2022. A final release for the 2021/2022 academic year, with data for all public degree-granting institutions, will be available in the fall of 2022.
The FT-UCASS provides Canadians with a detailed portrait of full-time academic staff in Canadian universities, including gender, age, academic rank, salary and administrative stipends, administrative responsibilities, and principal subject taught.
