Canadian manufacturers produced 1.6 billion cigarettes in March, up 34.7% from February. Cigarette production was 15.0% lower compared with March 2021.
The total number of cigarettes sold increased 22.3% to 1.4 billion from February 2022. The level of sales was 5.8% lower compared with March 2021.
