Domestic production of crude oil and equivalent hydrocarbons totalled 14.1 million cubic metres in October, up 4.6% from October 2009.

Crude oil exports declined 2.6% between October 2009 and October 2010. About 63% of Canada's total domestic production went to the export market in October.

Marketable natural gas production totalled 11.9 billion cubic metres in October, up 5.7% from the same month a year earlier.

Domestic sales of natural gas decreased 5.3% between October 2009 and October 2010, while natural gas exports rose 7.9%. Exports accounted for about 62% of marketable natural gas production in October.

Domestic production of crude oil and equivalent hydrocarbons rose 5.6% from September to October, while marketable production of natural gas rose 7.2%.
