The price index for software publishing increased 2.8% in 2013 compared with 2012. There was no change in the price index for computer systems design and related services from a year earlier.
Conversely, the price index for Internet publishing, broadcasting and web search portals (-2.0%) and the price index for data processing, hosting and related services (-1.1%) were both down in 2013 compared with 2012.
Note to readers
The informatics professional services price indexes (IPSPI) are annual surveys. The IPSPI collect financial, wage and contractor fee information that is used to measure price movements in the informatics professional services at the national level.
With each release, data for the previous year may have been revised. The indexes are not seasonally adjusted.
The informatics professional services price indexes for 2014 will be released in November 2015.
