Farm product prices, December 2014

Prices received by farmers in December for grains, oilseeds, specialty crops, potatoes, cattle, hogs, poultry, eggs and dairy products are now available.

The December Quebec hogs price was $88.30 per hundredweight, down 3.4% from November but up 16.9% from December 2013 when the price was $75.51.

The Alberta wheat (excluding durum) price in December was $207.87 per tonne, up 1.7% from November but down 11.1% from December 2013 when the price was $233.94.
