Overall, the number of patents held, commercialized and pending in 2013/2014 was 4,409, while total income received from the commercialization of intellectual property activities was $24.5 million.

Data from the 2013/2014 Federal Patents, Licences and Royalties Survey are now available upon request.

The survey provides information on the activities of federal government science-based departments and agencies related to new instances of intellectual property reported or disclosed, number of patents, new and active licences and income received from intellectual property commercialization.
