Canada has received the initial report on its progress toward achieving its Sustainable Development Goals. This month's StatCan Blog takes a look at Canada's work so far to meet targets laid out in the 2030 Agenda, an effort led by the United Nations with the objectives to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and prosperity on a global scale.
Back in May, Statistics Canada unveiled the Sustainable Development Goals Data Hub, a one-stop online resource for information that allows Canadians to monitor progress on these 2030 targets. As the national statistical agency, Statistics Canada has been tasked with tracking Canada's progress, and has established benchmarks for the federal government by providing data on a variety of topics, including health, education, income, agriculture, official development assistance, the economy and gender equality.
