The article "Effects of the Crop Reporting Cycle on Field Crop Statistics" examines the differences between the preliminary and final estimates for field crop statistics, and the impact of the crop cycle on these estimates.
The field crops included in this study are canola, all wheat, soybeans, barley, oats and corn for grain. Seeded area estimates from 2008 to 2018 and production estimates from 2008 to 2017 are included in the study.
