New data on positive mental health are now available for custom requests from the rapid response component of the Canadian Community Health Survey – Annual Component.

  Note to readers

The data were collected from all provinces from January to March 2019.

Answers to this module are used to determine the positive mental health of the respondent. Higher levels of positive mental health are widely thought to be associated with better overall health.

The questions in this module ask about the past month frequency that respondents report having positive feelings about themselves, their lives, their experiences, their environment and society.

The data are now available in the Research Data Centres.

The addition of these questions to the Canadian Community Health Survey was sponsored by the Public Health Agency of Canada.
