User Fees and Regulatory Charges (User Fees Act)

  1. User fee: Statistics Canada publications.
  2. Fee type: Other goods and services—fee for post-manuscript products.
  3. Fee-setting authority: Ministerial authority to enter into contract.

  5. Performance standards: Release dates for the next year for all 27 major economic indicators are announced each year at the end of November. The dates range from 20 to 60 days from the end of the reference month or quarter. Release dates for the next month for all data outputs are announced at the end of each month. Release dates for annual and occasional data outputs normally range from 6 to 18 months, depending on the nature of the data-collection process.
  6. Performance results: The Agency published 221 releases of the 27 major economic indicators, all as scheduled. As well, all other data outputs were released as per the dates announced at the end of each month.

  5. Performance standards: Response provided within 30 days of receipt of request; the response time may be extended pursuant to Section 9 of the ATIA. Notice of extension to be sent within 30 days of receipt of request.  The ATIA provides fuller details.
  6. Performance results: Continue to meet statutory requirements of access to information legislation.
