Statistics Canada publications Release dates for the next year for all 27 major economic indicators are announced each year at the end of November. The dates range from 20 to 60 days from the end of the reference month or quarter. Release dates for the next month for all data outputs are announced at the end of each month. Release dates for annual and occasional data outputs normally range from 6 to 18 months, depending on the nature of the data-collection process. The Agency published 221 releases of the 27 major economic indicators, all as scheduled. As well, all other data outputs were released as per the dates announced at the end of each month. The annual web evaluation survey found high levels of satisfaction regarding the information provided on the Statistics Canada website.
Access to Information Act (ATIA) fees charged for processing access requests filed under the ATIA Response provided within 30 days of receipt of request; the response time may be extended pursuant to Section 9 of the ATIA. Notice of extension to be sent within 30 days of receipt of request. The ATIA provides fuller details. Continue to meet statutory requirements of access to information legislation. The service standard is established by the ATIA and the Access to Information Regulations. Consultations with stakeholders were undertaken by the Department of Justice and the Treasury Board Secretariat for amendments done in 1986 and 1992.
