There were 457,265 aircraft take-offs and landings at the 93 Canadian airports with NAV CANADA air traffic control towers and flight service stations in April 2013 compared with 462,296 movements in April 2012.
Itinerant movements (flights from one airport to another) decreased (-4,657 movements) in April 2013 from the same month in 2012. These airports reported 319,186 movements compared with 323,843 movements in April 2012.
There were 138,079 local movements (flights that remain in the vicinity of the airport) in April 2013 compared with 138,453 movements in April 2012.
