The job title is new, but Anil Arora is anything but a stranger when it comes to Statistics Canada.
This month, the StatCan Blog chats with Mr. Arora, the 12th chief statistician of Canada, about his long-time involvement with the agency and what lies ahead.
"What I am truly impressed with is the immense talent we have at Statistics Canada and how we function in close collaboration with our various partners to produce high quality information for Canadians," Mr. Arora said in a recent interview.
His prime goals? "That we remain highly relevant. That we remain credible. That we remain an innovative and trustworthy source of statistics."
There are, no doubt, opportunities and challenges ahead. But, there is also a familiar and experienced hand at the helm.
