The public use microdata file (PUMF) for the 2015 Canadian Community Health Survey – Nutrition is now available.
Based on the data collected from 20,487 Canadians aged one year and older in 10 provinces, the 2015 PUMF contains detailed information on what foods were eaten, the amount of food, the meal and time of consumption as well as summary variables on the nutrients from these foods. They also include information on related topics of physical activity, measured height and weight, food security and health conditions. These data may be of interest to health researchers, dieticians, food and agriculture researchers, and industry associations.
The files also include detailed documentation such as a user guide, survey questionnaire and data dictionaries.
The initial results from the 2015 Canadian Community Health Survey – Nutrition were released on June 20, 2017, in the Daily article "Nutrient intakes from food and nutritional supplements" and in Health Fact Sheets (82-625-X). Data were also featured in the infographic "Protein sources in the Canadian diet, 2015," and the article, "Accounting for misreporting when comparing energy intake across time in Canada," which was published as part of Health Reports (82-003-X).
