The infographic "Canadian veterans with disabilities, 2017" is now available.

At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Canadians gather to honour those who have fallen while serving their country. A moment of silence is observed to mark their sacrifice and to acknowledge the courage of those who still serve. This new infographic honouring Canadian veterans, based on data from the 2017 Canadian Survey on Disability, presents the characteristics of Canadian veterans with disabilities.

  Note to readers

The 2017 Canadian Survey on Disability (CSD) provides comprehensive data on persons with disabilities by province and territory and by age group, disability type, and severity of disability. The survey population consists of Canadians aged 15 years and older as of the 2016 Census of Population (May 10, 2016) living in private dwellings.

This infographic covers persons with a disability who had reported previous Canadian military service but were no longer a member of the Canadian Armed Forces.
