In 2018, 49,622 temporary foreign workers filled 54,734 jobs in agricultural operations.

Data on the number of temporary foreign workers employed in the agriculture sector in 2016, 2017 and 2018 are now available.

  Note to readers

Today's release on estimates of temporary foreign workers is part of Statistics Canada's AgZero modernization project. This project will use leading-edge methods, data integration and advanced technologies to reduce the response burden on farmers to as close to zero as possible by 2026.
