The computers, peripherals and software price indexes are now available for January.

  Note to readers

Following the release of data for reference month March 2021, the Computers, peripherals and software price indexes will be suspended. A review of the program methodology will be undertaken to ensure the indexes are relevant and reflect the evolving computer and peripherals industry.

As of the June 2019 reference month, the Commercial Software Price Index and the computer and peripherals price indexes have been released together in The Daily under the title "Computers, peripherals and software price indexes."

The computer and peripherals price indexes are a monthly series that measure the changes over time in the price of computers, computer peripherals and smartphones sold to governments, businesses and households.

The Commercial Software Price Index is a monthly series that measures the change in the purchase price of software typically bought by businesses and governments.

With each release, data for the previous six months may have been revised.

The indexes are not seasonally adjusted.

These indexes are available at the national level only.
