The Canadian Health Measures Survey is releasing 2018 and 2019 non-environmental laboratory data today. This file includes blood and urine measures of nutritional status, a chemistry panel and selected hormone measures for Canadians aged 3 to 79.

• Chemistry panel of the household population (13-10-0332-01)

• Complete blood count of the household population (13-10-0333-01)

  Note to readers

Cycle 6 of the Canadian Health Measures Survey was conducted from January 2018 to December 2019. The target population consisted of persons 3 to 79 years of age living in the 10 provinces. The observed population excluded persons living in the three territories, persons living on reserves and other Aboriginal settlements in the provinces, full-time members of the Canadian Forces, the institutionalized population, and residents of certain remote regions. Altogether these exclusions represent approximately 3% of the target population.

For more information on the methods used in Cycle 6, refer to the Canadian Health Measures Survey Data User Guide, which is available upon request.

Weight files and instructions are available for combining Cycle 6 Canadian Health Measures Survey data (where possible) with equivalent data from cycles 1 to 5.
