In 2022, farmers in Canada reported the following areas of harvested fruits and vegetables:

  • 17,790 acres of cranberries
  • 28,965 acres of grapes
  • 1,739 acres of Brussels sprouts
  • 9,054 acres of broccoli
  • 10,370 acres of regular cabbage
  • 20,430 acres of green and wax beans

Fall-ing for colourful leaves

The beautiful leaves changing colour will blow you away! Just under one-quarter (24%) of Canadian households in 2021 owned a leaf blower, up 11 percentage points from 2011.

Pumpkin spice and everything nice

In 2022, Ontario had the largest area (9,431 acres) of Canada’s total pumpkin harvested area (12,338 acres). This represents more than three-quarters (76.4%) of the pumpkin area harvested in the country.
