Data on the seeded area of potatoes are now available for 2025.
Potato farmers planted 394,215 acres (159 533 hectares) of potatoes in 2025, down 0.1% compared with 2024.
Prince Edward Island continued to report the largest seeded area in 2025, at 87,300 acres, followed closely by Alberta (80,000 acres) and Manitoba (68,200 acres).

The values for amount utilized, published in table 32-10-0017 Area, production and farm value of potatoes, by harvest season, United States, were updated for years 2019 to 2023 to include potatoes used on farm.
