The total amount of milk sold off farms in December increased 3.7% year over year to 804 030 kilolitres. Meanwhile, milk sold off farms for fluid purposes decreased 3.1% to 229 964 kilolitres. Milk sold off farms for industrial purposes increased 6.7% year over year to 574 065 kilolitres.
Total cash receipts from milk and cream sold off farms amounted to $728.7 million in December, up 13.5% year over year.
