Poultry and egg statistics released today indicate that, in 2021, the production of these two key commodity items largely returned to levels observed before the COVID-19 pandemic, after a challenging year in 2020. However, sales increased significantly in 2021, as producer prices rose to cover higher production costs, notably increases in feed grain prices.
