Cement manufacturers produced 0.79 million tonnes of cement products in March, an increase of 47.1% compared with February, and a gain of 3.5% from March 2015.
Shipments of domestic cement rose 45.9% from the previous month to 0.69 million tonnes in March. Compared with the same month a year earlier, shipments of domestic cement grew 2.2%.
Including imports, shipments were up 33.0% from the previous month to 0.70 million tonnes in March and were up 4.2% from March 2015.

The Cement Survey measures, on a monthly basis, the quantities of domestic cement that are produced and shipped by manufacturers. The survey also measures the geographic distribution of sales of domestic and imported cement as well as the quantity of exported cement.
