Wool disposition and farm value, 2020

In 2020, Canadian wool producers were negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and associated international supply chain issues. The volume of raw wool purchased directly from Canadian producers decreased 21.5% from 2019 to 891 900 kilograms in 2020. The average price paid for wool to Canadian producers in 2020 was $0.69 per kilogram, a decrease of 21.6% from 2019.

The total farm value was $648,000, down 37.9% from 2019.
