Today marks the beginning of Canadian Men’s Health Week. To celebrate, let’s do some push-ups!

Integrating exercise into our lifestyle is an important part of maintaining health and well-being at any age. Luckily, there is no shortage of ways to keep moving—from marathon running to walking in the park, men in Canada are finding ways to stay active. In 2020, 56.9% of men aged 18 years and older in Canada reported doing 150 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity per week. That’s approximately 130 hours per year!

Exercise recommendations vary depending on a variety of factors, such as age. The Canadian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines provide physical activity, sedentary behaviour and sleep recommendations for adults in Canada aged 18 to 64 years and 65 years and older.
