Wool disposition and farm value, 2021

In 2021, Canadian wool producers continued to feel the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and associated international supply chain issues. The volume of raw wool purchased directly from Canadian producers was 883 200 kilograms in 2021, a decrease of 1.0% from 2020. The average price paid for wool to Canadian producers in 2021 was $0.76 per kilogram, an increase of 9.2% from 2020.

The total farm value was $707,000, an increase of 8.6% from 2020.
